Anna Strachan completed the Palm Beach to Shelley Beach Marathon Swim to achieve the Australian Triple Crown, a marathon swimming series in a channel, river and ocean. Her swim was captured by observer and fellow Australian swimmer Timmy Garrett and added to her prolific career that has already been honored by the Australian Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame.

The Australian Triple Crown is defined as solo, unassisted completions of the 25 km Port to Pub Ultra Marathon from Fremantle to Rottnest in Western Australia, 34 km The Big Swim – Derwent River Marathon in Tasmania, and the 27 km Palm Beach to Shelley Beach Marathon Swim in New South Wales.
