The 35 km Clean Cross Swim from Hong Kong to Macau was successfully completed in May 2014 by Simon Holliday who came across over 30 endangered pink dolphins (Chinese white dolphins).

He set out in 2014 in order to raise funds for Ocean Recovery Alliance’s Grate Art project which puts art-for-awareness signage on storm drains along city streets, so people will be reminded not to dump in the drains. The Swim for Clarity took 10 hours 20 minutes and broke the existing record of Zhang Jian. His escort pilot was Robert Highfield and his escort paddler was Shu Pu.
