Far from the maddening crowds of America’s big cities, the threat of the coronavirus, raucous presidential and congressional politics, and outbreaks of civil disobedience, International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame Honor Swimmer Harry Huffaker enjoys his days of solitude and high-altitude swimming in the Sawtooth Range amid beautiful lakes.

The Sawtooths in central part of the state of Idaho are far removed from the channels amid the Hawaiian Islands where Dr. Huffaker crafted his legacy in the channel swimming community, but the beauty of the open water in the magnificent lakes is stunning.
