My rational behind this is he is 70 years of age but his passion and enthusiasm is as great as it was some 30+ years ago, apart from his 34 crossings of the English Channel and numerous other record breaking swims he is :

He has also supported me in all my Long distance swims and his coaching, support as crew and guidance made sure I became the 1st British and European woman to swim the length of Lake Tahoe last year.
Kevin is an inspiration to those who meet him and his swimming feats are even more special when you think the mobile phone, GPS and all the other gadgets swimmers use today weren’t invented plus there wasn’t the support or groups that exist today.
