David DeFelippo (28) from Texas, Margaret Dudley (28) and David Saxton (25) from Pennsylvania, Matthew McDole (27) from Colorado, Jennifer Paulding (25) and Michael Paulding (29) from New York, and local Traci Shiraishi (27) from Hawaii, known as the Hawaiian Island Channel Swimmers, will do a standard Maui Channel Swim from Lanai to Maui on April 30th to benefit the local charity Helping Hands Hawaii.

All proceeds from donations will support the Ready to Learn project sponsored by Helping Hands Hawaii in order to distribute a backpack filled with essential school supplies to hundreds of students who go to school empty handed in Hawaii.
