The 2011 World Swimming Championships 5K, 10K, 25K and 5K Team Time Trial Pursuit races will be held in a rowing basin in Shanghai, China.

If the summer heat in 2011 is anything like the summer heat this year, the athletes can reportedly expect water temperatures in the rowing basin to reach 97°F (36°C).
