With the Dover training season well underway for the English Channel community, channel swimmers in the Pacific Ocean are also getting ready for their summer on the high seas.

Whether they train together or train solo, their focus is on getting from one side of the channel to the other.

With hundreds ready to take on the English Channel, Jim Nietz, Jacques Tuset, Cathy Marco, Karen Throsby, Michael Miller, Clara Lee, Tobey-Anne Saracino, W. Davis Lee, Darren Miller (shown above), Laura Lopez-Bonilla, Blair Cannon, Brad McVetta, Yesenia Cabrera, Are We There Yet? (relay), Cliff Crozier, Clayton Rinker, Amrita Das, Mo Siegel, Katy Dooley, Nicholas Kent, Julian Rusinek, Derrick Wong, Dennis Dressel, Bob Needham, Aquaboomers (relay), Ernest Hoftyzer, Armin Johannes Wunder, Pat Gallant-Charette and Kimberly Rutherford are signed up and ready to go in the Catalina Channel from May to October.
