The International Swimming Hall of Fame announced Lewis Gordon Pugh, a British environmental activist, pioneer swimmer, maritime lawyer and motivational speaker, as its 2011 recipient of the prestigious Presidential Award. Lewis will accept his award on May 6th during the Honor Induction Weekend in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The International Swimming Hall of Fame‘s Presidential Award recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to promote the mission of the International Swimming Hall of Fame that is to promote the benefits and importance of swimming as a key to fitness, good health, quality of life and the water safety of children.
