Maratón Internacional Hernandarias – Paraná, the longest FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix race and one of the world’s top open water swims, from the city Hernandarias to Paraná in Argentina was cancelled due to an unanticipated storm.

The 54.6-mile professional marathon race may be modified to a 5K race based on the latest discussions among the swimmers and race director.

The modified race will be held on Monday, February 6th.
