Selina Moreno Pasagali, A Worthy Athlete And Cancer Survivor

Spread the love

The Spanish Government agency responsible for sport, Consejo Superior de Deportes, annually grants honors called the Premios Nacionales del Deporte to athletes, sport federations, and organizations. The Spanish Royal Family gives these prizes in various categories.

Last year, International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame inductee Montserrat Tresserras was similarly honored by the Spanish Royal Family.

Organizations nominate athletes for these awards. This year, several organizations are gathering support and momentum for Maria Selina Moreno Pasagali, the breast cancer survivor turned marathon swimmer. These include the City Council of Gandia, the Valencia Provincial Committee of Spanish Cancer Society, Spanish Group of Cancer Research, Valencia University, Swimming Federation of Valencia, Royal Swimming Club of Gandia, Swimming Club of Cullera and Levante, El Mercantil Valenciano.

With what she has gone through (breast cancer) and what she has accomplished since (marathon swims from Manhattan Island to Ibiza, Spain), Maria Selina Moreno Pasagali certainly has our full backing and support.
