Everyone Is Potentially A Natural Swimmer

Spread the love

All humans are naturally buoyant. There is an average of 3.4 liters of air in a human body at all times.

If non-swimmers knew this fact, they could have a lot more confident in their inherent natural abilities to stay afloat. With the global growth of triathlon and open water swimming, the swimmers are enjoying more and more opportunities to share their know-how and passion for exercise in the water with the non-swimming community.

It is estimated that less than 3% of the American population of over 300 million people can swim 500 meters non-stop…but this number and percentage will hopefully grow over time.
