Theodore Yach, whose outstanding autobiography In My Element continues to sell extremely well, completed his 69th Robben Island crossing on Sunday. “It was only one minute off my lifetime best for the Robben Island to Three Anchor Bay route in a time of 2 hours 45 minutes for the 11 km route.

Derrick Frazer of Big Bay Events and I are planning my 70th crossing. I will be using the opportunity to raise funds for the Teach Township Kids to Swim project that Derrick and his wife, Debbie, manage. We should raise a sizable amount with the swim.”
