Charities who benefit from the Lee Swim
 Cork Lions Club
Cork Lions Club has been involved with administration and fundraising from the Vibes and Scribes Lee swim since its re-introduction in July 2005. Much needed funds have been raised for local Charitable organisations such as a holiday in the Canary Islands for children and their parents from the Leukaemia Ward in the Cork Mercy University hospital in 2006, to Guide Dogs for the Blind of Ireland in 2007, Edel House in 2013 and Cork Simon Community in 2014 to name a few. Over 100,000 Euro has been raised so far from fundraising for this event which is one of the most enjoyable fundraisers of the Cork Lions Club calendar year. All of the monies raised are as a direct result of swimmers efforts to complete the swim and submit sponsorship cards, on line donations and various fundraising events on the day of the swim. Rest assured that all monies raised go directly to the nominated charity each year. The 2015 Charity is the Cork Life Centre. Cork Life Centre is a voluntary organisation offering an alternative learning environment to marginalised young people.
