These were the first individuals who crossed each of the channels in the Oceans Seven (English Channel in 1875, Catalina Channel in 1927, Molokai Channel in 1961, North Channel in 1947, Strait of Gibraltar in 1928, Cook Strait in 1962, Tsugaru Channel in 1989).
