Antonio Argüelles never does anything easy. He found himself on the Stanford University campus after growing up in Mexico. He developed the triathlon market in Mexico. He completed the Oceans Seven at the age of 58 and achieved two Triple Crowns of Open Water Swimming.

Now, he and Adam Skolnick authored a book in English: The Forever Swim.

Its Spanish-language edition, Travesía Interminable, was voted as the 2019 World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year award.

Argüelles said, “It was not an easy task, but I am very happy to announce that the English version of my book, The Forever Swim, is finally available online. In it I tell the story of how I completed the Oceans Seven, but also the tale of how I, a hyperactive overweight boy from Mexico City, would discover swimming, chase an Olympic dream, attend Stanford, and wade into the tangled web of Mexican politics.

The Forever Swim is a story of risk, fear, confidence, failure, and loss. It shows how the ability to adapt, focus, and manage the mind helped me overcome each setback and reminds us that no dream, however bold, is ever out of reach, as long as we are willing to chase it down with relentless discipline and joy.

The e-book is available on Amazon here.

Steven Munatones summed up about the book. “He describes his colorful, goal-setting life within the dramatic backdrop of becoming the oldest person in history to achieve the Oceans Seven.  His book delves into his inner thoughts, vision, loves, worries, and challenges.

While Antonio is globally respected and admired for his triumphs both on dryland and in the water, the Forever Swim provides an unknown, inside view of a remarkable person.  The Forever Swim will result in readers respecting this personable icon even more.”
