Stressed Out? Head Out In The Open

Men’s Journal reported that research shows that exercising outdoors (e.g., running, cycling, hiking) lowers stress levels far more effectively than at a gym.

Many open water swimmers feel challenged or meditatively mellowed by swimming in an ocean, bay or lake. And they realize that this kind of exercise can be addictive. “Being outdoors motivates us to do activities regularly,” says Michael Deplenge, a renowned professor specializing in human health.

We could not agree more.
