Many coaches wake up early in the morning and continue to coach and inspire swimmers until late at night.
Sibani Makhanya of the Seals Swimming Club in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa is one of those special coaches. The young man from KwaMashu in South Africa is as passionate and dedicated to swimming as they come.
“I get up early to coach morning workout, then I ride my bike to school and then I am back at the pool coaching until 9:30 at night. I really love coaching. I am learning so much from everyone who is helping me.
Today, Sibani went out of his comfort zone and ran the 92 km Comrades Marathon, taking 11 hours 29 minutes to go from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
