Olympian Cecilia Biagioli Happily Enters Motherhood
Four-time Olympian pool and open water swimmer Cecilia Biagioli gave birth to her son Joaquin this week.
Husband Fernando Barboza is the proud father and husband of the 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012 Olympian who always represented her native country of Argentina well over her long career.
Coached by her brother Claudio Biagioli as she steadily transformed herself from a pool swimmer to an Olympic marathon swimmer, she adapted well from the temperature-controlled confines of the pool to the always dynamic environment of open water swimming.
And now she is resting comfortably with the next generation.
