Nejib Belhedi Prepares In Northern Africa For The Bering Strait

In preparation for his upcoming attempt to cross the Bering Strait in August, Nejib Belhedi extended his record swim by swimming 13 km across the Sidi Salem Dam in Testour, Tunisia.
His 3 hours 15 minutes swim in the 7°C water was, he explained, “An important link to meet the challenge of crossing the Bering Strait to the North Pole. I have discovered the specificities of the Sidi Salem dam, given the cleanliness and sweetness of its water, making it a suitable space to train over long distances.”
