Dr. Attia has emerged from the Maui Channel and Catalina Channel swimming community to become one of the leading medical professionals looking essential public health issues in the United States. Dr. Attia is a TEDMED 2013 speaker and founder of the Nutrition Science Initiative.
Through this non-profit organization, Dr. Attia hopes to help science, and eventually public decisions and directions on improving health across age and demographic groups.
