2013 World Universiade In Kazan, Russia

The 10 km marathon swimming competition at the 2013 Universiade (World University Games) will be held in the Kazan Rowing Centre.
The Rowing Centre has hosted a number of high-level canoe and rowing championship events before, both domestically and internationally. It will also be the site of the 5 km, 5 km team pursuit, 10 km, and 25 km events at the 2015 FINA World Championships held in Kazan, Russia, approximately 450 miles (720 km) east of Moscow.
The venue is located on the bank of Lake Middle Kaban and was designed according to FISA (Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire) Standards for international rowing competition.
It reminds us of the flat-water open water courses that were used at the 2005 FINA World Championships that were held in the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games rowing basin and the rowing basin that was used at the 2008 Beijing Olympics marathon swim.
